Avionics Technician

Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge is required to be successful in this position.
Any prior aviation experience is a plus.
Training will be provided for this position to be successful but we are looking for a highly motivated and self-sufficient person to join our team who wants to learn.
Wage based on prior experience.
PCA has been in business for over 30 years and is expanding business right on the Aurora Airport! Technicians are needed to keep up with installs we have booked for over a year in advance.

At PCA we specialize in removing old analog avionics and installing new glass electronic flight instruments.
We work on a range of general aviation aircraft from smaller Cessna 152's to larger Piper PA 34's and many more! The ideal candidate has some past aviation experience, electrical experience, and is very mechanically inclined.
We have in-house training for all levels of aviation experience and are looking for a strong sense of urgency and willingness to learn.
The ability to be self-sufficient in creating achievable goals, being self-motivated, and staying on task is essential to be successful in this position.
Basic Requirements:
US Citizenship Can read drawings and schematics Electrical experience Mechanically inclined Experience in troubleshooting and problem solving.
Reliable means of transportation.
Preferred Experience and knowledge with the Following:
A broad overall knowledge of basic aircraft systems such as hydraulics, flight controls, electrical systems, powerplant, pitot and static etc.
Pilot or Aviation experience.
Ability to accurately interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, system schematics, drawings, engineering orders and other documents from both the customer and company.
Fabricate per drawings and standard practices wire bundles and assemblies to include properly securing wires into bundles and termination of wires into a variety of contacts and connectors.
Knowledge of Garmin, Aspen, Bendix King and Avidyne systems is a plus.
