SUMMARYThis Sales Engineer - Marine Construction Technology will manage the marine construction technology sales opportunities of Teledyne, Trimble and other related technology product portfolios in assigned territory. Using Solution Sales tactics must sell both products and services to our customers and partners. Position will actively seek to grow the business by working with established Accounts as well as expanding the new customer base in the region assigned to generate new and incremental business. Coordinates and cooperates with other business units and departments to accomplish job. This position requires an experienced, well-organized individual with excellent communication and planning skills plus the ability to manage multiple projects.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSThe following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Meet sales quota in the assigned territory by increasing sales to existing accounts and successfully identifying and developing effective working relationships with new accounts. Working closely with customers and prospects to increase their knowledge, skills, and understanding of Teledyne, Trimble and other related marine construction products. Sell Teledyne, Trimble and other associated portfolio of products as well as installation, training and other professional services as appropriate. Cross-sell our entire portfolio of products to existing and new customers who are unaware of all the products and services we can provide. Planning and forecasting monthly, quarterly and annual sales activity; help develop marketing, and sales strategies while being organized to make resource requests in advance of events. Working closely with the SITECH and Peterson earthmoving sales teams to communicate our message to the market and to communicate market feedback to our teams. Prepares and presents effective sales proposals and quotations to customers and prospects. Communicates with sales management during the sales process to enlist help as needed. Works with other members of the sales team and technical support to solve client problems Proceeds methodically and with urgency, handling objections, problem solving, and obtaining a thorough understanding of the customers' needs until the sale is consummated. Maintains strong customer relations and satisfaction; proactively and diligently works to ensure customer problems are resolved quickly. Use of CRM system for managing prospects and customers as directed. Monitor all activity throughout our entire team to ensure that the customer is being well treated and professionally managed. QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree from a fully accredited college in engineering, marine construction management or other closely related field; and a minimum of five years of directly related experience in marine technology sales with a proven track record of selling products and services as well as working with partners to maximize revenue; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSValid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.Sitech Norcal, Inc. is committed to equal employment opportunity and affirmative action.
